Just a little bit about me...
I grew up in Brandon on the north hill. I had a really great childhood and I think that is partially why I want to become a teacher. My parents moved to a little town outside of Winnipeg the year I graduated from highschool and eventually I moved with them and completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Manitoba. I really enjoyed my time there and had a great experience at such a big school.
I live in Brandon now with my fiance in a little fix'er up house. I'm not overly handy with renovations but I try. I love all animals but especially dogs. At the moment I have a four year old Norwegian Elkhound dog who endlessly entertains me. I'm an avid reader and movie watcher, but there is no way I could pick a favorite book or movie.
Both my maternal grandparents were school teachers and are quite proud to see me following in their footsteps. After talking to a few fellow pre-service teachers it seems that school teachers run in the family. I'm really excited to be going down this path and I can't wait for the day that I have my own classroom.
